Rotary Global Travelers Alaska Service/Social, May 2026
Join your fellow Rotarians in a service/social adventure in the wilds of Alaska!! Plus, you're welcome to join some of us on an Alaskan cruise with Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas prior to the service project.
Service Project: May 22-26
- May 22-24, 2026: Global Travelers Social (preliminary itinerary)
•Lodging for 2 nights at Gateway Hotel in Seward including 2 breakfasts (check in May 22, check out May 24)
•Volunteer service project in the Seward area - Free time in Seward and surrounding communities with a helpful Alaska "things to do" guide provided by our local club Rotarians.
•Social activities, meals and a fabulous fish fry. This special evening at a local park with local Rotarians will include a special guest appearance by Spank, Jess’s pet pig & local celebrity! - Return on the evening of May 24 to Anchorage on the train--reservations strongly suggested.
- Cost per person--each person is response for his/her own costs during the Seward Social and Service Project. The fish fry is being graciously provided by our club member Adam.•RSVP: DACdb Calendar or email Adam at adam@haysresearch.com
- May 25-27, 2026: Optional Excursion to Denali
•Domed railcar from Anchorage to Denali, Tundra Wilderness Tour into Denali, hiking and optional activities available, motorcoach return to Anchorage with a stop to meet a local musher and the sled dogs. - Additional nights are available for those wishing to stay a little longer.
•Cost for Denali Excursion: $1660 per person, double occupancy; 3 nights lodging (1 in Anchorage, 2 in Denali); breakfasts included.

We have used up all our allotted cabins for the group, but I can check on current availability and pricing for the few remaining interior and balcony cabins.
IF you want a single cabin, please note that the deposit would be $500 instead of $250.
NOTE: If anyone wants another cabin category, I can add that to the group as long as there is availability.
Shore Excursions
You can select from a wide variety of shore excursions, directly through Royal Caribbean, or also through third-party vendors (suggestion: check all and choose the best!); I will post a link approximately 60 days before the cruise for different vendors.
Gratuities
Gratuities for this cruise are $129.50 per person; you can pay them in advance by notifying me, or you can pay them onboard the ship.
Deposit Requirements
$250 per person (if requesting a single cabin, the deposit will be $500)
